New info about the Comic?

Unread post by Flex »

Hey Guys, Im new here, had a read through the stuff already here, just thought I'd share some info with you guys.

I was looking through the page info of 'The Cradle of Life' page thingy, and I got this

Image

Does that mean anything to anyone? :S The time for that is GMT too.
Also, the .swf of the actual comic is called Shell.swf. A shell is something that covers an object and protects it, so that could mean something...

Also, it has the background- http://halo3.com/images/bg.jpg if that means anything.
Check here if you want to have a look at some other things about the page- http://halo3.com/comic/html/style.css

Im just abit curious about the Expire thing...

ok i dont know about the expirey date thing but

shell.swf is just a flash thing, dont worry about it its just a normal technical thing asfar as i know

and the style.css is a normal website thing, basically stores info on link colour etc - what interests me is the fact usualy in a flash website they wouldnt both with a css as thhey only work with html text, i need a webdesigner like person to explain but a stylesheet is basically like information on how all the text in a site should be formatted.

why have a css stylesheet for a flash site, unless there will be normal plain html pages at some stage

Umm...that's accually around 8:55 tonight GMT, so that's 3:55 EST and 12:55 PST

Edit: I could have sworn that your post originally said 10 tonight, did it?

That's okay, I was confused because it didn't show the edit message on the bottom of your post.

Content expiration is related to the browser cache.

It is usually set x number of hours/days in the future of when you loaded the page.

While there's always the possibility of setting it to a hard date/time... seeing as how that particular page has an odd number of minutes and seconds on it... it looks pageload related.
