And, pelicans, like helicopters fly with their noses pointed slightly downwards but yet still fly in a straight line forwards (towards the horizon)

It could be flying over him, like in the Halo Wars trailer, only flying the other way.

Or yes, it could even be landing - in which case the pilot would need all the light he could use.

So before you start making jokes about speculation, think carefully about the possibilities behind that speculation.

thank you! - its like saying look in a mirror, you dont need to be right against it to see your reflection

but i seriusly doubt it is a pelicon, that would be too dull for a game cover!

Uhhh... why?

People barely notice it unless they pay proper attention, and a Pelican is still a warmachine essentially. And one fleeing an opponent in the skies could still be cool. Not too dull for a cover if you ask me.

To dull?

Hey, there's a battle going on in front of the Chief and he's running towards it, what's dull about that? ;)

well having a scarab in the visor would be a lot more interesting, think about it, why would they have a pelican which has so far just been associated as a means of travel when they could have an actual vehicle of war/ a forunner robot/ or even just a marine getting shot etc in there?

Because war isn't always exciting. It's about atmosphere too. Also, i guess bunging a Pelican in there means nothing new is given away.

And seeing yet ANOTHER dying Marine wouldn't be all that special either.

nah everything about that picture is a action shot, if we were talking about the emotion art (the confirmed boxart) ide agree, but i doubt they would have chief running towards a pelicon like that

It doesn't matter anyway,

The artist probably thought it looked cool, thought it would add some depth, thought it would conclude that Marines are there so he is not alone,

It's not important.
