Compound Intelligence?

Hey, just a sec...are we missing something big? He's designated as a compound intelligence...that brings to mind the Sentinels in Ghosts of Onyx. In GoO, the Sentinels are much deadlier than their Halo-based counterparts, and they can combine to form a much larger entity. At the end of GoO, a swarm of supersentinels obliterates an entire Covenant battlefleet.
Just like sentinels operating in concert and joining to form a much larger, deadlier killing machine, is Adjutant Reflex actually a unified system of AIs, operating under another single/compound intelligence?
Cortana (In the Maw): I'm detecting taps throughout the ship, Sentinels most likely. As for the Monitor . . . he's in Engineering. He must be trying to take the core off line!
We all know that the sentinels on Halo 04 are a little low on smarts, but after tapping into the Pillar of Autumn's computer system, with its data arrays (And maybe a dead AI as well), could they form some sort of compound intelligence, temporary or permanent? After all, why should sentinels tap into the computer system, unless they're repair sentinels looking for schematics, like those on Halo 05, or unless they're doing something very un-sentinel-like?
If there exists a system of smaller intelligences throughout the Ark/ Halo system, it could come in handy in case some of more powerful single intelligences (Monitors) are captured or unavailable, as well as be impossible to capture or disable the way both Sparky and PT were in Halo 2. It might also be all over the Halo array as well as the Ark, so it's effective wherever it is. AR might have gotten human history data from Spark and gone back to our time, or it might simply have spread out of the Ark under Africa and into the internet.
(End note: If you manage to get to Guilty Spark in Engineering fast enough, and stay near the area he's roaming about without triggering a full-on flood or sentinel attack, you can hear him talking about repairs and making comments like "Hardware and software configurations are below required specifications". Best done on Easy. I haven't seen any of this on the story page so far, and you have to be patient, he takes a full loop before each line. Whack him in his shiny steel butt as much as you like )
