The ISBN does not appear to be a valid one.

But I just tried it as a phone number and just got a "Your call cannot be completed as dialed."

Edit: The "ISBN" is actually the IP address for Server 1. This is definitely a fake book. Definitely part of the ARG.

I think it gives you a random page. But only 3 are available, so it usually says "denied access".

& the toc contains at least strong hints as to the relationship of humanity to the forerunners--interesting for the story fill-in aspect of the arg, if not the swag-hungry server opening aspect.

surprise me IIRC is an Amazon feature that jumps to a random page. Clicking it too much pops up an amazon notice about being a paid member to view restricted pages
