The audio file should play if you click on the little speaker < looking button near the top of the main page (if you've been asked to enter your birthdate, try the back button on your browser to return to the right page--where the countdown used to be).

If you have a Windows Live account or Hotmail account, you should be able to enter your password when prompted. I was already signed in when I accessed the countdown page, so my computer skipped that step.

Hope that helps! :)

I don't think that's there anymore. There's nothing that signs me into Live. This sucks. Why didn't it happen at midnight like it was supposed to? Did anyone happen to record it? Ug. I can't be constantly watching that page for this. Only 20 people got it?

100 people got the 'reward' for unlocking the server. But the reward hasn't been sent yet.

If it's shareable, I'll share it.

I have the audio file saved. If you have AIM, PM me your address and I'll send it to you.

Eh. I guess I don't need it, I read the transcript. But could someone maybe describe exactly what it was? What were the "keys" how did it work? I took me time coming home tonight thinking, "It's not like anything that comes up will be gone before I get there." Oh well, maybe the next server...

When I first went to the refreshed countdown site, it had a little code that needed to be inputted. Like the kind on a website that confirms you're not spyware or something... Anyway, I entered that in, and it brought me to another part. That part said

Here is the Past: (Link to audio file)

Here is the Key:
(long string of alpha-numeric digits)

Here is the Path:
(Link to the server site)

I copied the key, thinking I'd need it for later. Then, after listening to the audio file, I clicked on the 'Path' link. There, it asked me to sign in to my Microsoft Live ID. I complied. Then, it asked for the key. I pasted the string into the given area, and clicked submit.

It brought me to another page, which said the following:

Key Received

20 more keys are required before this server's content is available.

For your participation in unlocking this Forerunner database you will be rewarded. More information will be sent to you soon.

After that, I refreshed the page, and behold. The server was unlocked.

I imagine that's how it happened with everyone else that entered a key...

Thanks a lot! I thought it'd be the first to figure out how to unlock it or something, not just the first 100 people there, they should maybe expand that number, maybe.

Also, is the audio used in this video the same as the one from the site?

Yes. Except some of the text in that video is wrong.
