I'd bet the glyph is now just being used as a Marketing tool.
And I have to say, it's working very well!

Iris may be over, but I think the reason the Glyph is in there is because they talk about Iris in there somewhere, and the Glyph is pretty much a marketing tool now, so they can put it with anything having anything to do with Halo 3.

Is it just me, or are we freaking out at any vague mention of the Iris symbol?

Well, we were told to follow the signs. Just because Microsoft said that Iris is done doesn't mean that it is. They already said it's going to continue inside of HALO 3 (the actual game), so it's odd to see the glyph popping up on things if it was only supposed to be used to guide us to more clues.
