Whoa could this be something?

Birnam, is a village near Dunkeld, Scotland, the location of Great Birnam Wood in Shakespeare's Macbeth

Birnam is also the name of a place in South Africa, named by Scottish emigrants:

grenadier wrote:There is some meaning in "Till Birnam wood remove to Dunsinane"(Line 2) I don't remember the specifics, but it is referring to the movement of forces into position for the final conflict in Macbeth. I believe the character is saying something to the effect of "when pigs fly", but Shakespeare is definately using his odd sense of humour to add extra meaning.
Malcom, and the troops carried branches from the trees in Birnam woods on their march, disguising their numbers...shear genius when it comes to the play...highly unlikely in practice, but the point is

Sparknotes for the win! o.o

Remeber that AR did quote MacBeth earlier,

Act 4 Scene 1 line 44
By the pricking of my thumbs
Something wicked this way comes.

to imply that this new character (that used the MB avatar) was something evil.

Seems pretty logical to continue in the vein of MacBeth.

I was just playing around, brainstorming using "MB05032" and playing around with it, like we did with "801snpow"

M=13th letter, B=2nd letter == 13205032, maybe 0130205032 (with extra zeros).
Mirror it and throw in a little L33T, and you have SEOZOEIM (some anagrams)
Mirror it the other way and you have WB02035
Rotate it 180-degrees and you get ZEOSOEIW (more anagrams)

How about synonyms for the other monitor names (Guilty Spark, Penitent Tangent) that would use the initials MB? (All references taken from Thesaurus.com)
Guilty and Penitent yield the following synonyms:
Meek, Mortified, Muddled, Magdalen, Mournful, Melted...
...B is much harder to do, because "Spark" and "Tangent" could be so unrelated... if they mean "instance" or "occurrence" or "course", like I think they do, then we have:
Bit, Bite, Bout, Beginning, Break, Business, Byway, Boulevard, Bearings, Boundary...

Just trying to get the brain-juices flowing... maybe we'll think ourselves right out of the box and into the answer. :mrgreen:

Awesome! So we'll have Master Chief, Samus Aran, and The Arbiter in one game!

This will be the best shooter ever!

Something useful later...

Jokingly, that came to my mind too! XD

"MB" can represent alot of things.

Wikipedia has a tons of examples and links: Wikipedia: MB

Though I do dig the "Macbeth" notation.

chief's antithesis... Master Bastard :P

but seriously, if it is an acronym for a two word name, we have the entire english language of M and B letters to deal with... that's like trying to crack a GUID, heh
I was more curious if there may have already been a refence to a feasible M* B* word pair we missed since server 1... or perhaps some link with 05032 that might give MB a little more meaning.

* MB05032 in the avatar filename
* The BPC audio for server 5 is named MB_05.mp3
* A Server 5 text file is named MB05032.txt

Has there been any instance of two words starting with M and B in any of the texts we've received?
Actually, there's the 3rd_MB-v4.mp3 (of Server 02), and the mb_4_v6.mp3 of Server 04.

I had completely overlooked those. Maybe "MB" means less than we think and it's just a file naming convention. But what fun is that? :lol:
