Iris
The Iris seems to be a big clue, or is at least going to remain important to how we can discover other clues.
An Iris is a flower, and AR now told us that "The first seeds are scattered." I think this might be important to understand what we need to look for or ask about in the future.
Also on this sitehttp://www.mobot.org/gardeninghelp/plan ... ?code=C170 mentions that Iris's are white, often with a yellow band (or Halo) around them, and occasionally can have sword shaped leaves. Not that this has anything speciffic to relate to AR, but it is interestingly connected to Halo themes I feel.
Let me know what you think.

Iris is a messenger for the gods, and is sister of/to the Arkhe... (Ark)
Arkhe was the messenger of the Titans, and at a time of war between the gods and Titans was an enemy to her sister Iris, who was the messenger for the Gods.
While Arkhe had iridescent wings, Iris had golden wings and carried a caduceus, Pictured here:
OOOOOHHHHH..... I just had a brainstorm... Iris is pictured to be a young maiden with golden wings on her shoulders... and I remembered this image:

Re: Iris
The symbol that AR uses on Bungie.net is the Iris in the eyes of the Monitors. That too!
And did you notice Cortana's Irises in the 'Emotion' Image? The one with all the Chinese and Japanese characters in it?

Re: Iris
It's a Bungie official image. Check out this website.
One of her titles is Chrysopteron.

Re: Iris
whiteness i think that's a really awesome correlation. it sounds like a logical choice for the halo 3 story to follow.

Re: Iris
"Who is the path of light from blackest Earth to brilliant heaven?
On whose golden wings will we fly from here to there?"
Is Iris a spacecraft? What we saw opening in the Halo 3 announcement trailer--is that just a huge-ass hangar door opening (irising out, you might say)?
Or...was that light we saw the Halos activating, and the Forerunner attached a quasi-religious significance to this event as well (like the Covie's Great Journey)?
