MC's name is John, his Spartan number is 117, and there has been much speculation about a link between that and the Bible, going back to the early days of Halo: C.E.
Use the Search function with "Bible" and see what's been said so far--John 117's relevance to this game hasn't been discovered at all (other than he's a character in the game this ARG is about).
