Here's a little painty-photoshoppy jobby-job for ya... is Master Chief in the wallpaper we just DL'ed?

Not much to go on, but it could be... you wouldn't believe the trouble I had finding an MC picture that had his head at that angle! if it is his visor, then the green light could be a bunch of green things... the Index, a PP, Fuel-rod Cannon, green monitor, or a glow-in-the-dark Elite snot rocket.

See the picture on the right? Just imagine that chief holding a little railroad spike instead of the flag.

The reflection in the AR glyph (or rather the stone that it is carved in) is the same shape as the brim of MC's visor. Also, above it, you can make out the top of MC's helmet... the measurements and geometry seem right, but there's just not enough -- enough evidence and really enough reason for it/him to be there.

Also the glyph is upside down. Would make more sense if it were right side up.

true dat. like i said, may be nothing, because it wouldn't really mean anything or lead us anywhere...

A few possibilities. Lots of IF's here, but that wallpaper could be from the final scene from the E3 07 trailer, which is maybe MC at the control room of the Ark. If it is, he has the index, and is ready to launch. This theory is plausible, but only under these conditions. Before that scene is displayed, we see a night shot of the Ark, opened, possibly primed and ready to go, or, quiet and dormant AFTER firing. Either way, we also see a pelican dropship safely fly towards the screen SURROUNDED by a fleet of covenant ships. Another if, but those ships could possibly be piloted by elites, now in a sem-truce with the humans (this being the reason for a covenant fleet to not fire upon a human vessle), and they are awaiting MC to do his thing and activate, or are observing the aftermath of the firing. Or, it could be something far worse, but the one thing we are to expect (or at least I am anyway). Due to the somber tone of the final five notes of the trailer, Cortana may have very well "died", and MC is there to observe the sitev(wherever they may be). There is shiny blue glow coming from whatever he's looking at, but again, just a crackpot theory.

Again, it is an extremely conditional theory, but its somehting I've considered.
