I completely agree with you guys. I must say that when the first server came and went, I was somewhat surprised to see that almost immediately all the forum mods and site admins were asking those people who helped unlock the first server be kind and let others unlock future servers. It wasn't so much of a surprise that folks were asking this of themselves and others, but the fact that it was almost in unison by most everyone. Its almost like this community defies the laws of the internet.

And lets remember, the REAL prize is coming September 25th.

My 2 cents; Don't be greedy. As stated before there are only 500 prizes available for the thousands of people who are tracking this ARG. There are over 3,000 members at CI and over 1,000 members here. I haven't really looked at the other groups.
Many of us won't get anything but the experience and background information from playing.

I'm particularly upset about the thought of someone getting the reward twice (or more?) since I have totally missed all three chances to be part of the unlock... especially when I could and should have been part of at least one.

So, be nice and share the keys if you've already unlocked a server.

I recommend checking in with the IRC room once a day to see if there are any leads. Chances are that if a server is ready to unlock, the IRC guys are on top of it and working it out. When the keys are ready, generous people like DHalo and friends will be giving out keys and links for those 100 keys.

I think that people who (unlike me) have spent time following this ARG should reap the benefits.

This whole "prize for key" thing is new to me. (Ive been out for about 2 months)
I would appreciate it if someone would give me a link (to something that explains this better) or at least tell me this:
How on earth are people getting these keys? :?: It seems that people have been chosen to receive keys, not obtained them through digital treasure hunting. :|

Pardon my ignorance.
g'night. see you in the morning. maybe.

Sleep with your eyes open tonight, my friends. He is coming.

look, im not one to flame but even I know that those who got keyes at least on this 3rd server werent 'chosen'. if you did a little more reading and searching you'd know that at least one or more of these guys has programs monitoring the halo websites (stuff most of us cant do but are thankful that they can do) and then when they investigate further they note everything right away. so, for some its luck, and for some its that hard grind of research and computer resources. they worked for it. you owe them some respect.

There are other who just watch the Iris Fankit thing and when it says a server is activated, they rush to the forums, click the link, and get the reward without doing anything useful :| Kinda upsetting (I know server 3 pissed me off like no other)

Yeah... do you (we) have any evidence whatsoever of these people existing? Everyone keeps talking about them like it's a fact. There are a LOT of people following the game, at bungie.net, at unforums... hell, in forums in other languages. Is there a valid reason to think the people getting server keys are largely (or somewhat, or at all) made up of these theoretical freeloaders?

It just seems like common sense to me. Halo has a large enough fan base, and I've seen enough messages at B.net, ABO, and CI that ask "How do I get a key?" and other things along that line, and then you never hear from them again. Yes, a lot of the people getting the keys are ones who deserve them, but there are others who just go for the reward and don't work for it. Plus the fankit only makes it easier for people to just wait and not do much, I kinda wish we didn't have it :|

A quote from Donald Trump "Its always about the money". I join this ARG thing cause it makes people think and work together, sure I would like a prize. But I like the way its helping me learn about advanced physics, if it werent for that all I wanted was a prize. Physics is one of my interests when I go to university and I wish Bungie taught me cause they make it very interesting. Now I could careless about prizes.

Oh Ya! I can't wait for Halo 3 :D :D :D

P.S. And these Child Psychologist think Video Games are not very educational, What do they know :P
