Quick question about ILB
When ILB concluded, what was the final verdict/tie in the H2?

Re: Quick question about ILB
ILB is seriously deep,
I think i spent about 2 days looking into it - no site seems to have the answer, no site seems to have a sane-human-readble timeline,
All we know is that a lot of stuff happened - a lot times 100,000 ; )

Yea i know what you mean.
I was just going through all my logged ILB stuff and realized that I still have not found somekind of conclusion.
From what I can remember, it had something to do with an AI.
Anyway, if anyone that did complete it and found a conclusion, i would appreciate you posting! Thanks!

Re: Quick question about ILB
There were several links in ILB to the Halo universe - none directly related to Halo2, as ILB was fairly well self contained, but it did have several mentions of familiar places/names from the games/books.
1) Janissary James, one of the main characters from the audio sessions, was the daughter of James James, one of the first Spartans - Spartan 1.0. Master Chief, in comparison, is a Spartan 2.0
2) The basic premise of ILB was that one of the ships discovered a forerunner artifact, and brought it back to earth. In orbit around earth, the artifact activated, sending the ships AI back to our time - this is Durga, an AI of the same type as Cortana.
3) One of the events mentioned in ILB was the fall of Reach.
Those are really the major tie-ins to the Halo universe.

Re: Quick question about ILB
If they are the only major tie-ins, then what exactly was ILB meant to be promoting after all?
Re: Quick question about ILB
Halo2. Just because it's advertising something, doesn't mean it has to be the central focus.
The Beast, generally considered to be the first "ARG", was promoting the movie A.I. But it was exploring events that took place after the movie ended - i.e. how the ice age came about.
That's the thing with ARGs, and to some extent, viral marketing in general. They often tie in, but are not directly related. With ARGs, you often get side stories, that help you understand the world the game (or whatever) is set in better, to help give you context to the events you see, and to flesh out the world/universe.

Re: Quick question about ILB
Yeah, I do see that they unravel a lot of whatever they are promoting' side stories etc,
But is there somewhere we can go to understand the whole side story it gave us? assuming the ARG has been solved by now.

Re: Quick question about ILB
ILB? Man, there's a LOT to take in there. Even those of us who played it were astounded by the sheer amount of information that we had to digest while we were playing. Between answering payphones and solving picture puzzles...

I'll leave this here for now, but this is a new ARG...the only tie in ILB has is that it was an ARG for Halo 2
