Origen Xbox 360...more clues?

Unread post by UrsusArctos »

Does anyone remember the tree on the Origen Xbox 360 website, and the latin inscription hidden in it? The inscription has since vanished and the site doesn't do anything but redirect you to Xbox sites in different languages, but fortunately, you can always find it if you know where to look.

in hoc spatio arbor noster floruit, fecundus pomies Elysii ignoti, qui in loco ludent electi, ab Originis angelis circumdati.

This has been translated to mean-

In this space our tree has flourished abundant with the unknown fruits of Elysium, who will play in the chosen place, surrounded by the angels of Origen(Origin?)

Elysium was the Greek equivalent of heaven, afterlife for the blessed. It's also the name of the city Master Chief was born in. Very much a cradle for life, that way, so perhaps linked to the halo 3 comic as well. http://www.halo3.com/comic/

Aside from that, the "Forerunner Email" that talks about history coming full circle mentions the gears of the universe moving apart. Why is the loading animation for the origen website that of rabbits running on treadmills and wheels...gearwheels?

This might all be just a red herring or plain junk, but it might just be worth digging into now with Adjutant Reflex going about.

I'm afraid to discredit anything like that at this point. Good find, since they thought the countdown would head towards some Halo 3 event, it could still have some significance in the big picture.

This had to do with the Halo 2 Release.
Not Halo 3
