If you stay around to watch the text long enough, you'll start to notice that the area around it is getting darker and darker as stars disappear.

The IRC channel basically concluded that it sped up again at midnight from where it was before it. The initial speed up pointed out by ProfessorHojo05 was noted originally. Apparently we both noticed different speed ups. Progressive speed-ups.

There was an increase in speed added to the already increased speed of the text.

to be honest, it looks like it is still increasing speed. Every time I look at it, it seems to be going faster.
