All that is happening at the end of the 36 hours is the completion of its compiling. He never said anything about resurfacing, did it?

I'm guessing that something big will happen at that time- Bungie will be taken over, it will appear at it's on location (i.e. website,) or something else major.

A good question {Bauer 22 I mean}
I considered this, and at first was convinced that he did.
But after thinking about it more,
if we could assist in stopping it, why the games? Why take the risk of us not reaching the goal in time? Of allowing human error?
So either there is a strong element of rampancy in it or we must pass tests to be proven worthy of truly assisting.

As for coming out of hibernation, wasn't there something in the XBL mails that it would be 50 days?

EDIT: XBL mails may be false, presumed false until confirmed I guess.

Didn't AR say "No significant incident predicted"? He doesn't expect something bad to happen... Something could happen, I suppose, but if he's telling us that he doesn't think anything important will happen, why should we worry?

THe XBL stuff still hasent been confirmed yet, it may yet turn out to be a hoax.

EDIT: Its confirmed as a hoax, the vic thing and related is fake.

EDIT AGAIN: It might or might not be fake, ignore the first edit, I am sorry.

Well maybe he is the one that can start or end what will happen. If he thinks that it should not happen because of us then he will stop it. But then maybe it's something good.
From Halowiki.net user KLind.

Q: How do we trigger said events?
A: Events will trigger only through teamwork. Data mining is suggested.

Here's the link http://halowiki.net/p/User_talk:Simon78

What does this all mean?
