OK, I don't usually pay any attention to random emails, and I am not a normally credulous person.

That being said, what looks to be a normal, run-of-the-mill spam came into my inbox, and my eyes froze on it. Why?

Subject: Hot Quotes-IRIS

No text, but a PDF attachment. It looks to be a normal stockmarket-tip spam, but there is also a lot of crypto code in it (usually random garbage to get through a filter, methinks).

Though this is probably absolutely nothing, as Sir Ockham is prone to point out, I figured I'd throw it up here, to see if anyone else twigs off of it.

PS: I scanned the file with an updated Clamwin Antivirus, and it is clean. No guarantee, but should be good.

A few things to note:

The company is "Puerto Rico 7, Inc."

It says there is a big watch in effect for 8/8 2007

...However, this appears to be a perfectly legit business announcement. Not sure why it was spammed.

That is what I found as well. If, as seems likely, this is normal spam, the coincidence of so many Bungie-factors is rather amusing.

PR-7 is the Puerto Rican company that owns 7-11 in PR, and are a subsidiary of Seven & I Holdings. They employ over 200 people and have annual sales of 18 million US. This is a legitimate company and is CERTAINLY not ARG related. Good eye for Iris though (hehe).
