Halo3.com ringtone access?
If someone has a mic and can play the ringtones, supposedly, you gain access to a new area of the site. Source: http://blog.muchmusic.com/archives/2007 ... cret_u.php

Looks like that site got it a bit muddled and is just describing how to unlock Server 3. Check the screenshots--the user is even in the "Concept Art" section of the site when taking the shots.

Yeah, this is known as "The Device" -- it was used to unlock Server 3. You open the device by talking into a microphone (say "A, a, a, a, a" or something - that's how I unlocked it), and it links you to the Bounce Path Control page for Server 3.

yeah, hard to tell if MM reported incorrectly, or if our guess of 719hz's intent was wrong, and it was actually supposed to be the ringtones... but we do know it doesn't matter what's played anyway.
The fact that Bungie put that news item there leads me to think it was intended to be the ringtone not the 719hz file.
