 youtube videos i don't think anyone's discussed it here yet, so i'll go ahead and start it (don't know if it should be here or in speculation)
there was recently a series of videos on youtube of "ufo" sightings, and some of them appear awfully similar to the forerunner ships in the halo3.com comic.
some say it's viral marketing for Cloverfield, some say it's Iris (discussion on bungie.net forum)
thought I'd bring it up
edit: ok, my bad, it was brought up, so yeah...guess i was a little late to the draw
