 Re: The Reoccurring number, 108. Admittedly, alot of the stuff in Revelations of John and the Books of John could be a coincidence. But I, personally, think that the Ark (which is, in Halo, probably somewhere in Africa) is a reference to the Ark of the Covenant, which is mentioned in the holy books of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and is thought by many to be hidden somewhere in Africa.
EDIT: And then there's also (obviously) all of the writing on Noah who builds an ark to escape the flood.

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but the scroll makes me think of the indexes in the precvious Halos.

Re: The Reoccurring number, 108. Messier 108 is a spiral galaxy in the Great Bear. Since we have pretty much established from the servers that the Flood aren't from 'round here, could it be that that is their original location? A pretty far out guess, but it's almost possible...

Now THAT...my fellow ARG'er...is where the gap between  and  is jumped...I think they have already said that Bungie said that Halo 3 would tie up the loose ends...so I think that one of the Terminals will probably reveal the origin of the Flood(like where they came from). Might as well throw my hat in the fire...I say that the reason 108 is reoccuring throughout all of Bungie's stuff is because, frankly, they just like that number...just like the number 7
