I was skimming through the Halo 3 comic, and couldn't help but notice that there is a similarity between the lights in Master Chief's mirror, and the "Gods" stated in the comic strip... Interesting...

Could it just be a pelican, look at the lighter areas, they look very similar to the cockpit windsheild glass.

think its a pelican, notice the three windows are kinda on the same horizontal plane, teh machines three lights are in a triangle

Well, I believe there was a big discussion of this soon after the comic was found, but no one could find out either way. Good job noticing it yourself though.

And pelicans have 6 cockpit windows, not 3, trust me, Pelicans are my favorite air vehicle.

And if you look below the blob with the three lights, it has legs like the things in the comic.

ok, well notice the arrangement of the lights (could be reflections off of windows, but could be lights).

on the forerunner (or whatever, the comic) ships, there is one light on top, and two on bottom, forming a triangle. in the reflection from the chief, the two lights are slightly above the central light. one could argue this is just a matter of perspective or due to the curvature of the MC's glass, but take another look at the comic. we get both a right and left view of those things. it looks like the three lights are closely bound. I can't see how you could be looking at one of those things in the comic and get the reflection you see in the MC.
