Bungie shut down the Beta, and since then have been compiling the data they need to make improvements and tweaks to balance things. They've gathered the information they needed, while at the same time generating MASSIVE press for Halo 3.

And yet, I think they've left a lot of their hardcore fans feeling left out. Slighted, even.

I think they are going to open the Beta to everyone on the Solstice. That's just my gut, but my mom says I'm pretty smart.

I highly doubt they'll be re-opening the Beta. And I wouldn't be surprised if this ARG was planned out months in advance, and I also wouldn't be surprised if it's all Microsoft with Bungie just sitting back and being amused by the whole thing, only having a general idea of the step-by-step process to this ARG.

As for the beta, I really, really doubt it. Bungie's got the data they needed and are now fine tuning it and releasing the update to their own internal beta (spans across MS).

Release the beta again? Wow...yeah I'm gunna say the odds of that happening are about nil.
