On the subject of avatar changes.

Unread post by Norn »

AR recently changed his avatar to the well know symbol shown in the email, and on Master Cheif's visor on halo3.com. When you view the file name of the picture you see "chrysopteron". Chrysopteron was a Greek messenger goddess in mythology and did work for Hera, the goddess of marriage and, more importantly, the sky and heavens. Since AR's name is Adjutant Reflex (Adjutant meaning "an assistant") do you think he may be doing the work of some much more powerful entity (the Gravemind, perhaps), and just relaying information to us?

I think this is why his messages are so cryptic.

Or, maybe he just changed his avatar because of this?

On the topic on mythology. I have something totally crazy.

At halo3.com, if you look where the glyph is on the Chief's face. It looks like it is in the approximate area of the right eye. In Norse mythology. Odin sacrificed his right eye to gain knowledge and wisdom. AR is currently cataloging history.

Maybe just a crazy coincidence.

That would go along with a theory I heard that AR is gathering information to keep in storage for when the human race, umm, evolves again after Halo is fired. Maybe he will try to tell us again and try to stop the Halos from firing in another 100,000 years. Or maybe he's just gathering our history.

Halo 3's going to be one wild ride in terms of story and character development.

God I love Bungie.
