Okay, but how would he know the Flood are coming if, in the Halo Universe in 2007, no one had woken up the Flood yet? If no one had discovered the Halos yet? How would their existence let him know what was going to happen in the future? The fact that they exist, or even that they're playing with Forerunner technology already, somehow leads AR to know the Flood are going to be released and head to Earth?
