It looked like the mass market version, not the trade paperback (larger, originally released) version. Both have the same content, it's just less expensive to give away a $7.99 book than it is a $14.99 one (prices listed here are not exact).

The original printing was full of embarrassing typos as well, hehe.

Hate when that happens, but can't blame the author much. If the publisher hires a copy editor who's more interested in plowing through lots of books instead of getting each book right, no matter how long it takes, there's little the author can do. Case in point: the hardcover release of Christopher Moore's Lamb. It's full of spelling errors that shouldn't have made it to a retail copy.MulletedOne wrote:The original printing was full of embarrassing typos as well, hehe.

I doubt Microsoft will give out other prizes unless it's an e-mail to all those who have logged on to the Halo 3 site (and a redeem code inside). Otherwise some sort of random selection would be the other good way.

What would be great would be if instead of giving out gamertags they actually gave out XBL subscriptions, even if it was only for like 3 months. Better than a gamertag that you can't use unless you have an XBL account. <whisper> I cancelled mine a couple months ago. Just didn't have the time to play anymore.</whisper>
