360 Code Discussion

All of the pieces of code, in one way or another contain:

Three of the four locations in question contain the following string:

These are the main points to look at. Some of them share pieces while others don't. For example:

NAR (New AdjutantReflex) and the 360 share the same string (first example), the Zune shares the word rogue, and the VR shares this concept by stating there is non-authorized activity occurring (third example).

The VR's one-liner seems to cover the entire concept in a whole. The process known as "ghost" is committing non-authorized acts. The others seem to verify this in more detail, and show that the process needs to be quarantined:

Much speculation has gone into the rest of the text, as the remaining material is not as obviously blunt as the aforementioned. Discussion can continue here (or if no one really "gives" about this thread, discussion could continue in the Xbox 360 analyzing thread)

Ghost appears to be computer virus since it is rogue process making unauthorized changes.
Could it be effecting Cortana?

What was the name of the AI that Cortona confronted - i think it was a Covenant AI of some sort, but with a slight twist..

I think it may have also been the bit where she clones herself too

A result of hundreds of copies of Cortana running around the systems of Unyielding Herophant and some probably falling into the hands of the Convenent at some point.

Yes, but the effects of the crystal were still playing out. It had altered things so that events could take place. Without confusing myself with the time traveling explanations I'll leave it at that.

I've never heard that theory before, which is odd...

I don't think that its really possible. First of all, Cortana had to get the copying program from somewhere, and originally it had to have been someone other than herself. Secondly, Cortana, after the copying, couldn't have gone back in time, as the crystal had been smashed as of then.

also, i remember reading the AI copies would die soon after, and furthermore the AI's like Cortana only have a seven year lifespan before they are likely to succumb to rampancy. Thus, they have to be deactivated before the seven year mark.
