i see, so then why all the hate towards humans? maybe we had pre existing contact with the covenant before harvest was destroyed.

I think the Prophets want to maintain the power they have. If the Humans are shown to have lived on a world where the Ark resides, it could loosen their hold on the power.

Humanity might have also been inferred through Forerunner text as being the rightful reclaimers to the technology. Certainly plausible, but this is why we have Halo 3. I expect a few plot twists.

but if the forerunner ship IS the ark, wasnt it on high charity? (im not saying either is the ark) and its a good theory, i cant wait for H3 i just got a 360 :D and i also expect a few plot twists.
