"The keepers of the flame" could refer to Reclaimers (humans?) as well. Remember that the Monitors mainly shepherd Reclaimers through the activation process, and do not conduct it themselves. Sort of like facilitators...

Yeah, the flame being life. We are keeping the flame by not becoming extinct by entering the shield worlds.

Here is more clarification of the e-mails existence. It's the e-mail in its true form. Oddly enough, it say FORERUNNER EMAIL.

Meh, Team Xbox says keep an eye on the viral videos section on your 360.

I reckon we need to give it a little longer to make sure everyone who's getting one is getting one. As I said on the other thread, think the issues here as to who's getting them might be:

a) Have they got a bungie.net account?
b) Have they got an XBL account/signed up for the newsletter? Is there anyone who's signed up for the XBL newsletter who isn't getting it?

Damn... that's weird, then. If it didn't get spam-trapped, and it shouldn't if other newsletters make it, wonder what the other factors affecting things are? Now this is a headscratcher. Does sound more like it's part of the whole deal, then. (Wondering why *I* got it, then, I only just got active on this thing last night. XD)

Could it be that the ppl who got the emails may be, infact, the "keepers of the flame"?
