The terminals confused me. I first thought that the ark was where humans were sent to be saved from the first halo blast. Logical as the ark is outside the fireing range of the halos.

Why there is an halo in the ark, I think it is because of an in case of. Just like it happened in Halo3.

BUT as the interpretations of the terminals goes on, I feel like, and tell me if I'm wrong, that when the first fireing happened, flood had managed to get in the ark.

So how did we survived ?

The Ark Makes the Halo's. That explains that.

I assume the ark is the safe haven. Flood could have gotten on.

An interesting theory is that the surviving Forerunners could have mated with Humans, which would help shed some light on the 343 GS statement to MC.

After reading more posts and theories, it helps, yeah.

I now understand that the ark builds halos and that the planet at the center of the ark is the primary sources of materials to build halos.

But what I dont get is how humans survived to the first fireing. Forerunners escaped to the ark but even there, they died. The only option left is Onyx. Maybe a group of forerunners also escaped there along with humans ? And that is how we survived.

Yeah, that Halo is Installation 04's replacement, not a seperate ring for the Ark

I read somewhere, probably here, that the Librarian found someway to keep the humans on Earth alive..
