An unrelated happenstance, or something else?
Also, from halo.bungie.org, it's the first and only mag to ever ask for early publication on that site.
Again: bwwaaaahh???

Thanks for the overly informative subject line, OP! [/sarcasm]

Very nice... there are also scans of the article itself, I believe. I get nothing but 403 Forbidden errors... here are the links from the HBO RSS Feed:

Seeing as how the ARG is supposed to be dead and over, I figured I had a toss-up between:
-If it's not some sort of ARG continuation, this topic will get stale very quick.
-If it is a continuation, this topic should soon be replaced by a bevvy of new speculationz soon.

Figured that bought some leeway for expressing how I felt when I saw the cover.
I mean... it's right there. Heh.

Has anyone read the actual article yet? Are there many spoilers?

Notice what?

I'm assuming you posted a leak, and the image/link has been terminated. Or is your HTML just wonky?

They work for me now! Yay!

Edit:  ...but the text is too small to read. Boo.

Edit 2: @Major Silva -- this is the thing from the HBO home page, here.

Edit 3: Going for a record here... Why would they choose the glyph from StarImage3 and Server 3 to be all over the magazine? That seems... something (pick your own adjective).

Edit 4: Someone, please take away my keyboard. @Silva, again -- you can ignore my Edit #2 comment. I didn't see what you were talking about until now. @OP -- what do you mean by:
Anyone notice this?

Xcept for the original glyph on the cover, all the other pages have Server 3's glyph in the top right corner.

Oh, and on the second link on the second post, theres the glyph in the main picture.

Its probaly just the gliph pictures that are on the cover because Iris is over. The same thing happened with the Halo 3 issue of Wired.

It's obvious that this Chrysopteron symbol is bigger than just Iris. It's an integral part of something regarding HALO 3's story line, which means it has to be something somewhat big. Maybe it's just being used as a general marketing tool now?
