Now that it's over...

Discussion has become a dead board, (in terms of compared to what it was before) sadly.

But the speculation and meta boards are still useful and interesting; I say we preserve ABO even after Halo 3 comes out; There'll still be mysteries that need to be solved, and why not with the help we've already gotten from Iris?
Maybe then Discussion will be 'reborn' and interest renewed.

So as long as the name of this site is ARGS.bungie.org it could still have further use. Before H1 came the cortana letters, before H2 cam ILB, now we have IRIS, so what's to stop bungie from doing another ARG before their next game? It would feel somewhat awkward to not be discussing Halo anymore, but it would still be usable.

Either way, I've had an excelent time thus far. Still praying for more action before Sept. 25 though.

Well, there is still Halo Wars. And Bungie's new project with Peter Jackson (still set in the Halo Universe), whatever tha may be.

I think ABO will die out until another ARG comes along, and then the IRIS stuff will be filed into archives and the site will be revived.

This might be true, but I think that if Bungie leaves any loose ends, then the Speculation forum will be the only one constantly active. Hopefully, when Bungie makes their next game in 2-3 years as a launch title for M$ new console (maybe a new Nintendo?!!), they will not just be normal and casual about it, but instead release an ARG or marketing campaign like this one.
