Flash site by AKQA overviewing Iris (and overview video)
Posted to the wiki - found via Joel Kaplan's site (copyrighter at AKQA), a video outlining Iris ( direct link ) and AKQA's Iris promo award submission site (overview from a meta standpoint) the entire Iris campaign - very slickly created! Though, it doesn't detail the story aspect of Iris as much as...

Re: AKQA says thanks
Actually, improvisation is a good thing - that makes the experience dynamic and allows the players to have a role in the story and become a part of it. The problem was that it wasn't improvised well enough, whoever's fault it may have been.

Re: AKQA says thanks
well the way I see it, the 'characters' are pretty much all right now, modern, not Halo characters. The AI's, I'd assume and hope, were based on as much canon as possible, as they are essentially in the game. The puzzles and whatnot, meh. Some of the facts and info revealed from the servers, again, ...

Re: Humans aren't forerunner?
totally agreed. I still hold to the figurative 'you are (essentially) forerunner' meaning from Spark... The Precurser stuff is relatively new info, and I like the potential parallel in that the Forerunners are like humanity - they don't know their origins, and they discovered higher technology strew...

Re: Humans aren't forerunner?
That's different than us being Forerunner though. That wouldn't make them our ancestors. That would make them scientists who genetically enhanced our own ancestors. Different idea. Though interesting and could make a good story, there's no canon that know of yet that indicates anything like that...

Re: Humans aren't forerunner?
yet still, based on the Evolutionary model of humanity, we'd have to evolve . Offspring of Forerunner would still be 'evolved' as Forerunner. They would have to start a brand new civilization genetically related, and cut themselves off from it entirely - whether they bred with ancient humans, or not...
