As far as Halo canon is concerned, the official stance is that there isn't any. That does not exclude time dialation from slipspace distortion and relativistic effects, but 500 years into the past? Not so much.

A well written idea AI23, and we always like those. But timetravel has been dismissed as a possibility in the Halo universe. We're operating on that assumption until evidence clearly suggests otherwise, and we get confirmation.

It was a clever theory, and would certainly explain why the Forerunner didn't go behind the shield or hide from the Halos somehow, but this topic has gotten off topic...please keep it on topic or the Locksmith will go to work.
