Re: Cradle of Life

Just an aside, but I'm googling all these member names, etc., like mad, and if you weren't aware, the "Antikyhtera Mechanism" mentioned on the site is real: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antikythera_mechanism Also, check out that Stonehenge description: "The Round nature with counterpo...

Re: Cradle of Life

Kind of sloppy work. Well, to be fair, we did blitz the site before they expected us to. -ACE Sure, but they had the pdf uploaded; I'd say it was meant to be final. Although you can't actually even "fill out" the pdf, as those boxes aren't form fields. I'm calling you out Nadege! Sloppy! :)

Re: Cradle of Life

HEY HEY HEY! If you check the page source of the membership page and sift through it all, you can find THIS! http://206.16.223.63/sota_images/SOTA_membership.pdf The author of this pdf is Nadege Decastro. A "senior graphic designer" in the San Fransisco area. I'm trying to find more info ...

Re: Cradle of Life

This Avery Fane guy is an actor. He's done voice work, too. And is posting about SOTA under the category "Jobs, Work, Careers."

Hmm. The "up this weekend" part is especially interesting. I don't think we were supposed to find this stuff yet.

Re: Cradle of Life

This guy made a myspace post Wednesday the 13th about this new Society of the Ancients site:

http://blog.myspace.com/averyfane

He mentions two URLs. sota.com does not work yet, but societyoftheancients.com does.

Re: Quick "This or That" Question

How would their existence let him know what was going to happen in the future? The fact that they exist, or even that they're playing with Forerunner technology already, somehow leads AR to know the Flood are going to be released and head to Earth?

Re: Quick "This or That" Question

Well, y'know... when you've been around for over 100,000 years, (assuming, of course, that it's a Forerunner AI) 500 years really isn't all that much. The equivalent of 6 months in a human lifespan. Okay, but how would he know the Flood are coming if, in the Halo Universe in 2007, no one had woken ...

Re: Quick "This or That" Question

Our time frame, yes, which is odd. If he's speaking from the future (Halo's time), then his concerns about array integrity and the enemy are completely sensible. Master Chief has destroyed a Halo, and the Flood are apparently making their way to Earth. But if he's speaking from 2007, what is threate...
