Re: Flood from outside galaxy?

i don't know what you mean by "time" being "instantaneous", explain. you seem to have a penchant for taking hypotheticals and turning them into definites... Well what I meant was that no time was spent in slipspace, that it's like a door (sorry, I could have been clearer), but K...

Re: Ark/ "Out of Africa" Theory Connection

we haven't witnessed a full-blown halo firing, so we don't know shit. end of story. That's not true at all. We've seen an activation that was obviously stamped out at the last minute before firing, and if the explosion did not have any effect on the halos themselves, then the forerunners would (a.)...

Re: Just a new thought

At the end of H2, with the holo projection of the rings, 3 are blue and slightly larger, and 4, including the one with the red marker (presumably installation 04) are green and smaller. But either the 3 larger must have a vastly bigger range, or they work together to produce a larger blast radius.

Re: When did the covenant discover halo?

Jeez, it feels like a court-martial in this thread. Lol yeah, we're a bit off-topic, but no problem. And actually, going back a few posts, It is faster-Cortana predicts 2015 minutes after using rockets/grenades, but even going slowly you don't get more than 10. I think it's likely that Cortana warn...

Re: Flood from outside galaxy?

My guess is that the day of traveling was between slipspace and the planet. I would guess that the time in slipspace is instantaneous, and that the ships simply need to get far enough from planets not to cause damage when they enter slipspace. That's what takes the day.

Re: Ark/ "Out of Africa" Theory Connection

There is every indication that the blast affects those on the ring. If you look at the closing cinematic to H2, the blast center is hte middle of the ring-it starts htere and then would, if activated, explode out in a sphere, affecting the ring. As for the animals, play the level "Regret."...

Re: Ark/ "Out of Africa" Theory Connection

No, that's the same mistake yakaman just admitted making. Sentient does not mean "intelligent life." It means "conscious, able to perceive via the senses." I realize that. The debate (which is a milenia-old one) is what conscious truly means. Quite likely I am wrong, but there's...

Re: My Forerunners Theory

o, and maybe the forerunners did create humans like you said, then programmed their AI's to recognize humans as reclaimers! Yeah, I was thinking either that or the forerunners infused some kind of DNA pattern that caused AIs to recognize humans as reclaimers (we have no idea what 99% of our DNA does)
