Re: How does Halo work?
Xaos Maladay :That's an ongoing argument in physics. Personal opinion is that gravity is instantaneous. I am in the minority, so I will yield the point. Also: The reference link you gave had a few mistakes in it. One is that information cannot be transmitted faster than light. Look into quantum ent...

ACEfanatic02 : On the topic of 25,000 yrs and evolution. I know it wouldn't be possible to evolve anything from microbes in the that time frame, but at the same time, it would also be impossible to evolve anything in 100,000 years. - Since the galaxy does not appear to be devoid of anything larger ...

Re: How does Halo work?
I am well aware that pyrrhic is an adjective. I did take roman history. I was merely trying to point out that the plan had a terrible cost, and was not likely conceived in haste.

Re: How does Halo work?
Okay, I see your point with step 6, but I think you have missed mine. I am not arguing that the flood did, or could have acted that way. I am suggesting that Halo and the forerunner plan (pyrrhic) must have accounted for that option by the flood. I am suggesting that a plan including FTL consequence...

Re: How does Halo work?
"Even if the Flood were to run, the blast would inevitably catch up to them." The problem is that with a radiation wave that isn't true. All the preceding paragraphs about slipspace are good arguments that slipspace doesn't interact with normal space. But if you are (like the flood) an int...

Re: How does Halo work?
This is being discussed (sort of) overe here http://args.bungie.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=483&hilit= 1. The Halo's wipe out calcium deposits in life with calcium. So there is no issue with cosmic rays, or sound frequencies that destroy brains. See the halopedia article i link above. 2. The mi...

Re: So how was the "killing" done....visualize
1. Halo effects calcium deposits in organisms. This would (oddly enough) cause a massive extinction event, but remove the bones which would become fossils. Soft tissue does not preserve well, so we do not find any fossils. See the Halopedia article at:http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/The_Halos 2. On the s...

Re: Countdown changed again, countdown speeded up.
I had to refresh several times to get the change. Plus when I moved my clock ahead the numbers moved even faster. I dunno why.

Re: Ambertshire Crop Circle
What if they created a fake place so that hordes of Iris players wouldn't go to the location looking for geocache? They could have taken a real crop circle photo and given it a fake place name.
