Re: Bungie.net Has Changed

"Click it or ticket" refers to seatbelts. There's a mongoose on Cold Storage, right? Kind of odd how they drew attention to that previously. Has anyone tried hitting the start button while in the mongoose on cold storage? ---- (fixing accidental double post) Just to repeat my findings here...

Re: Weekly Update Message Discussion [BWU - 6/6/08]

The testing and containment facilites used to be off the rings, per a discussion that takes place in Halo 2 with regards to the setting of the Arbiter levels (when he's going after the Heretic). Seems to ME you'd want your failsafe kept as close to the problem as possible. This breach of containment...

Re: Weekly Update Message Discussion [BWU - 6/6/08]

Well.. that in-depth material is kinda the point. Everything in the Bungiverse has a background story to it. I'm just surprised it didn't actually point to anything. I can't help but wonder if there's some kinda' clues in there to lead us to the next set of clues. Otherwise why wouldn't the next upd...

Re: Weekly Update Message Discussion [BWU - 6/6/08]

cold boxes... ok.. but to smuggle is to sneak stuff past someone. umm.. I'm sure that's even the official definition. So.. smuggle the flood past the rings firing the first time? Or did stowaways attach themselves to something and get smuggled out of there? "The Smuggler" is an interesting...

Re: Weekly Update Message Discussion [BWU - 6/6/08]

It was "tied to it" because the first transmission was the last section of the Weekly Bungie update. The section was clearly titled "the Smuggler". So I guess the "recursive teleporters" was the only real clue aside from the name, and that applies to every multiplayer m...

Re: Weekly Update Message 2

A couple of other items for consideration: Containment failed 300 years before Halo 2. How long was Gravemind around? If Flood spores escaped, what food source could they find, if any? It seems to me that Gravemind was indeed around for awhile before H2. After all, the Flood in H1 did not create a ...

Re: Weekly Update Message 2

This goes along with what I said last week. The slipspace thing is a teleporter reference because to contain the entities last week, they put the "emergency [slipspace] transportation conduit" in recursive mode (pointed the teleporters at themselves). For those that missed it the ['s are u...

Re: Yet another quote from AR

On a surface level, This is an easy read, and perhaps too much is being read into it. The stain on his hands will not wash. Something that "he" did, will never be forgiven for. That damned spot as old as rock and time. Whatever "he" did, it was a long time ago.. Theoretically, he...

Re: everything came down??

It's working now.. ?? I dunno'.. must have been down locally somehow.

I DID do a windows XP update.. maybe that was related?

Anyways.. mods, feel free to delete this post.. When it happened, I thought it was "global" and not a local event.
