That facility was basically a gas-processing endeavor (Don't laugh). Right? What if the Flood was spawned from the primordial ooze that happened to be the fuel? Or, better yet, what if the Flood was once a space-faring race? For now, I'll leave it at that. Meanwhile, I'm going to think for a minute ...

Lovely name, Dan the Stick. Moving on, this entire ARG is Flood-related. If you examine the story line of the episodes, you'll notice an increasing severity in regards to how frightened the Forerunners have become. Just to throw this out there as Rampant Speculation, maybe these aren't the Forerunne...
